About WPSO

Women in Peace and Security Organization (WPSO) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering women as key players in peacebuilding and security processes. Founded with the belief that sustainable peace is only achievable through the active involvement of women at all levels of decision-making, WPSO focuses on creating platforms for women to lead in peace negotiations, conflict resolution, and post-conflict recovery.Operating in the Puntland region of Somalia, WPSO works with local communities, governmental institutions, and international organizations to address the unique challenges faced by women in conflict zones. WPSO advocates for gender equality, provides capacity-building programs, and promotes women’s leadership in peace and security to foster more inclusive and resilient societies.
